Brian Thorne is a leading figure in the international
community of person-centred practitioners and scholars. He is
Emeritus Professor of Counselling at the University of East
Anglia, Norwich, Co-founder of the Norwich Centre and a Lay
Canon of Norwich Cathedral. He has made substantial
contributions to the professional literature in counselling,
education and pastoral theology and is co-author (with Dave
Mearns) of the best selling 'Person-centred Counselling in
Action' : 3rd ed. Sage Publications 2007. The publications most
relevant to the above programme are 'The Mystical Power of
Person-centred Therapy', Whurr Publishers, 2002 and
