will be the third year we have offered this course.
Cost £799.00. Initial deposit £100 followed by £199 due
on first day of course. The balance of £500 can be paid
in four instalments (beginning of October, November,
December and January). Cheques should be made payable to
Pebblestones (Counselling & Development) Ltd. We accept
all major credit and debit cards.
Cancellation or withdrawal after course start date will
incur the full course fee. Sending a deposit constitutes
an agreement with this policy.
Most courses count towards Continuing
Professional Development and a Certificate of Attendance is
awarded after each course.

This course is externally validated by
the CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding
Body).

This is a Level 5 Certificate and is suitable for
qualified counsellors.
The course is 120 hours long and will
run on Thursday evenings 6pm - 9pm with one Saturday
workshop.
The course will build upon counselling skills already held
from other models and will cover the basic
skills/essentials common elements from leading ‘schools’.

How to use CBT in practical terms and resource material
for adaptation
Guidance on particular problem areas.
This course will include
theory and practical application of CBT
There will be three stages:
Getting started: beginning education of the client in
the model
Helping client to change: including methods of self help
for change
Client learning to be independent
Aims
of the course
Students will be introduced to the background and theory
of CBT. Assessment methods and treatment plans of
cognitive and behavioural models.
This will be explored by tutor presentation,
demonstration, facilitation to meet clear set goals and
outcomes assessment. Students will use personal learning
and use/practice of theory and skills. Collaborative work
with peers/tutor.
Students will build a portfolio which will be internally
assessed and provide a case study with an external client for external assessment.
You will need to arrange your own placement and
supervision.
The course book will be ‘Mind over Mood’. A
reading list will be given to each student.
