The Child element of our personality is the part which is often emotional, intuitive, imaginative and playful, qualities which are often discouraged in the process of growing up and fitting in.  This experiential workshop offered a brief introduction to the concepts of Child, Adult and Parent sub-personalities but the primary aim was to engage participants in the experience of meeting and communicating with their Inner Child through guided drawing and writing. This potentially very powerful way of working can be used by therapists and allied professionals, and participants can also use Inner Child work on their own in their daily lives to enhance qualities of intimacy, creativity and physical and emotional well-being.  No artistic ability is required. Materials, handouts and information on further training resources will be provided.
